Lovin’ Right Now: Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams for New York Times

Sophie Turner + Maisie Williams for NY Times_2 Sophie Turner + Maisie Williams for NY Times Sophie Turner + Maisie Williams for NY Times_1

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or have been avoiding the internet for the past month or so, you know that Season 5 of Game of Thrones premieres on April 12th. Two young women that you’ve surely seen either on a magazine or a late night show are Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, who play Sansa and Arya Stark respectively.

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the show series (though I’m a fan of the book series more for certain characters *cough*) and am currently ecstatic that the show is back. I’m also loving the attention that these two young women are getting as both have great acting chops.

P.S. Does anyone know where I can get Maisie Williams’s dress? Love it!

Addicted to Game of Thrones

Well, the first step when it comes to addiction is admitting you have a problem right? In that case then I can truly say I am addicted to HBO’s Game of Thrones. It all started in the Fall on one boring and wet and rainy weekend, during which I had watched the first two seasons in their entirety. Then I had to wait, just like everybody else, for Season 3 to begin. And good lord has it been one crazy season! My girls (and favorite characters on the show) Khaleesi and Aria have kicked up their bad-assery multiple notches. Some more Starks (my babies!!) have unfortunately passed away. And it seems now that King’s Landing has its very own Countess of Dowager in Lady Olenna of House of Tyrell. She is essentially now the new queen of sass in the show and I LOVE it!

As a way to cheer myself up on the account of tonight being the finale of Season 3, I’ve decided to try and post a little montage of some of the funniest things I’ve seen related to this season of GoT.

I hope this helps some of y’all out tonight while trying to cope with the Season 3 finale!

New Girl

I’m sure all of y’all have at least heard about the show New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel. Along with Parks and Recreation and Once Upon a Time, this is by far one of my favorite shows currently on t.v. The humor behind the show is fantastic and there have been several moments (and I mean SEVERAL) to where I’m laughing so hard I look like a seal clapping.

As much as I love Zooey’s character Jess, the three main guys in the show are so funny in their own way. There’s Nick, the lovable one who has a guy-next-door thing going on and tends to have some money issues. Schmidt is the OCD, overtly sexual and douche-y one of the bunch, and Wilson I consider to be the voice of reason among the group as he seems to be the most sensible.

To get to the point, today is quite an awesome day. Earlier Zooey D. tweeted that New Girl got picked up by its network for a second season. OH YESSSSSS!!!! WOOP, WOOP! 🙂 Sorry for all the crazy all caps but this show is just too good to not get picked up, therefore i’m pretty damn excited.

For those who have never actually watched the show, I am going to present to you some of the best moments of the show. And, no I’m definitely not going to re-watch all these moments, too…. Yeah, I lied. I am totally going to watch my favorite New Girl scenes while doing a little celebratory dance. (:

Prepare to laugh until you seal clap! (:

Psst…Oh hey, so I wanted y’all to see the clips in better quality than what most of You Tube was offering. So sorry bout all the links needed to click on to see them!

Now, I know I said the videos weren’t going to be off of YouTube, but I just LOVE this one particular scene! It isn’t really a funny scene but it definitely makes you feel good.(:

Leslie Knope for President

Parks and Recreation has got to be one of the best shows on television right now. It has an amazing cast fronted by the hilarious Amy Poehler, whose Hilary Clinton impersonations made my stomach hurt from laughing so much. Not only does the cast do a great job as far as being entertaining, but many of the characters in the show easily come to resemble people that we know in our daily lives.

Leslie Knope (the main character played by Amy Poehler) is by far my favorite character. She is driven, has good intentions for all she does, is a romantic, and most importantly, is a dreamer. However, I feel like Ron Swanson (played by Nick Offerman) is the backbone to the show as he has a paternal role to all of the characters at one point or another. Also, Ron reminds me of my dad; both are lovers of red meat and are a man’s man.

This show will always put a smile on my face and I think that is what a good show is supposed to do, making you feel better about everything even when things just suck. So, I leave you with links to some of my favorite moments from the show as I slip into a flu-induced nap (yes, I have the flu and it does indeed suck).
