Happy 100th Birthday to the National Parks Service!

IMG_0051

Today marks the 100th anniversary of President Woodrow Wilson passing “Act to Establish a National Park Service (Organic Act)” and to celebrate I’m throwing it back to last year when I spent a couple of days at Glacier National Park.

What’s your favorite National Park?

Happy National Park Week!

This week, April 16th-24th, is National Park Week and this year in particular is the National Park Service’s 100th birthday (so to speak). There’s lots of events going on to celebrate, including free admission to any park during the week, Earth Day (April 22) events, and even a National Park Instameet (April 23).

Be sure to visit your nearest National Park if you can to help celebrate! I know I always enjoyed the times I went, whether it was to the Redwoods or Glacier or John Day (all pictured).

Hello lovelies! It’s been awhile since I last posted and I apologize for that.

For the past six weeks I have been all over Oregon and Montana completing the requirements to become a geologist…officially! Whoop!

During that time, a trip to Glacier National Park was made. I was blown away by the gorgeous scenery, vibrant array of wildflowers, and the diversity of wildlife there. On my second day there I made a 12 mile hike and was able to see Grinell lake, Grinell Glacier, and Red Rocks Falls along with hiking the Logan Pass area the day before after having arrived.

There is no doubt that I will be making another trip to Glacier whenever I can next.

Hope y’all have a great weekend!
