Easter is this Sunday and with that comes the question of what to wear. Or, if you’re like me, the joy of knowing you can have chocolate again–come at me Thin Mints! 😉
However, finding a cute dress to wear on Easter is still definitely something that comes to mind. Lucky for me, I recently got a cute blush cap sleeve dress at a steal that will be perfect to wear once I get it back from the alterations (short people problems, am i right?).
Here’s to finding that perfect outfit!
If there’s one thing I love about warmer weather, it’s the ability to wear a dress without worrying about if my legs, arms, or what have you will get cold. Seeing as how I am a dress person, not having to worry about something like that makes life just a bit easier.
As far as this new Modcloth dress, I am loving SO many things about you. The colors, the lovely print, the fact that it’s above the knee (huge plus for someone who is just barely over five feet tall), and also just the overall classic look of it.
With seeing such a huge quantity of cold shouldered dresses out there (too many in my opinion), it’s really refreshing to see more classically designed dresses still hitting the racks per se.
Happy hump day!
Since having laid eyes on those gorgeous dress while on vacation in Portland, I have been dreaming of it being in my closet close to every night. Okay, not every night, but I have dreamed of it!
I love the mustard color of it, the A-line silhouette, and the vibrant stitching on the sleeves and hem.
Here’s to spring weather, so I can wear my warmer weather dresses again!
I love love love this dress!
Seriously though–I love the color, the sleeve, and especially the fact that it’s an a line dress, aka my favorite silhouette. Also, I can easily imagine this dress being dressed up with a cute blazer or down with a denim or leather jacket.
It’d also be really easy to transition it into colder weather months by pairing it with some cute tights/leggings and a chic coat.

You know those pretty Self Portrait dresses that you’ve been seeing everywhere (literally)? Yeah, this dress is just like those but half the price. Half!
I also love how the lining is longer than most (a little bit just above the knee) and the light gray-almost lilac coloring of the dress. All in all, this lacy dress from HD in Paris is so chic and perfect for a night out.
Now that Spring has fully come alive with the weather staying consistently in the 70’s+, I’ve been wearing as many dresses as I can. I’ve also been starting to lust for more to put in my closet. Whoops.
My current “lust list” includes either a LWD (like the one in Wednesday’s post), a lacy dress, or one that’s more structured in either a great print or color. It’s also hard to go wrong with a new floral dress as well, as long as it doesn’t have a more infantile pattern. Larger floral patterns are also a nay for me, as they are better suited for someone with a taller frame.
Have a good weekend, y’all!

The holiday season has to be the busiest time of the year for partygoers. Not only are there the traditional family Christmas parties but also the ones at workplace, at your friend’s or significant other’s workplace, and (of course) NYE parties.
I love when I see women wearing dresses and outfits at said events with a unique detail or a little extra quirk. Whether it’s a bow in the back or a ruffled low neckline or a kimono style dress, there’s so may dresses out there that stray away from the crowd.
Cheers to finding the right one for you and your personality!

As the weather here in Oregon has climbed up into the mid 70s, winter layers have started to come off and trends are becoming more alive. On campus, I can hardly go a few feet without seeing a girl in a crop top or wearing a maxi dress that is knotted on the bottom on one side. I myself have even been experimenting due to the changes in weather, and with the high temperature today expected to be in the low eighties, I’m sure I’ll spot MANY of these trends on campus and off.
