Two Ways to Wear A Chambray Dress for the Rodeo

Two Ways to Wear A Chambray Dress for The RodeoRodeo season is upon us and you know what that means–denim, country music, and BBQ galore! With not being the biggest fan for all country music and having grown up in the Houston area, the excitement that comes with Rodeo season has definitely lessened for me over time. However, I am always willing to don some denim and turquoise so that I can eat some good ol’ barbecue.

Due to all the walking and eating that’s involved with attending the rodeo, I’ve always believed that comfort is the number one priority for any rodeo attendee. That’s why I love the idea of wearing a chambray dress, which can easily be dressed down with some neutral colored boots and a bandana or dressed up with some turquoise jewelry and fancy cowgirl boots.

Happy Rodeo Season!

Chambray has always been a huge Summer staple. It’s coloring and light fabric makes it extremely versatile to where you can pair it with basically any type of bottom. I love though how some companies and brands have also turned this top fabric and used it for bottoms. The dresses and skirts that came out of the scenario are just as versatile as the tops along with being just as cute! Also, taking the ol’ chambray shirt and using the fabric for a print or for an eyelet top makes this fabric easily suitable for all lovely people.

I’m so happy that the weather is finally getting warmer here in Oregon! The fact that I can wear these polka dot shorts now makes me giddy. I love the flowiness the pleats give as most high waisted shorts tend to get a bit too tight in the thigh area.

Also, I’d love to do more outfit posts. Shooting for it with my friend in front of the new science complex on campus was definitely a-lot of fun. Plus, I do like the way the photos turned out 😉

Y’all have a wonderful Friday–I’m off to see the Dali Lama speak!
