Love love love the arm detailing on the sweater and the shorter length!! Not only does it look great for a shorter statured woman such as myself but I also love the punch of color.
Honestly, I see this being the perfect sweater for a chill night with friends while up in the NW.
I’m currently planning a trip back up to my second home–the Northwest–and “Name For You” is by far one of the highlights on the travel playlist that I am making for my trip.
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for The Shins, as they were my first ever concert. Their music is simply feel-good music, and I have truly never been in a bad mood while listening to them. This song echoes that feeling and is also just such a great song to have on while driving.
Needless to say, I honestly cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us and the March release of their new album “HEARTWORMS”.
Sweaters like these, with the coolest details, make me wish that mild temperatures were more common where I live.
Honestly, one week it’s in the 30s and the next it’s in the high 70s. If there ever were a state to be known for it’s ridiculous weather, it’d have to be Texas.
Earlier this week I tried a recipe for some pork loin chops that I’ve had in the fridge for a couple of days that involved rosemary and was enthralled by the flavor it had. Now, I want anything and everything with rosemary. Truly.
And seeing as how I do have leftover rosemary, I am thinking that those rosemary butter cookies may just have to be baked this weekend so I can use my leftovers. Purely just so I can use those leftovers, of course. 😉
I won’t lie to you–this song has been on repeat for a good while now. It is just such a beautiful, yet simple, piece of music that tends to have an old world feel to it, and I can’t get enough of it.
Though I’ve yet (keyword yet) to see La La Land, I can understand why this song and the movie itself have been nominated (and now received) so many awards.
Fate came in for me recently as right around the moment my favorite it! Cosmetics trio of eyeshadows started to become non-existent, Smashbox came out with their new Cover Shot eye palettes.
I LOVE the soft light and matte palettes. They’re perfect for my more minimalistic makeup approach and can easily be intensified with some fitting eyeliner. I also just prefer a softer eye during this time of year, as Houston weather never knows what it wants to do and ends up just driving my sinuses mad. And no one likes a smoky eye look ruined by watery eyes.
Towards the end of 2016, I was introduced into a lot of good music.
One song that I’ve really been digging is “A 1000 Times” by Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam. It has honestly become one of my go-to driving songs for when I’m out and about or just coming home from work.
With the new year, I am definitely looking forward to discovering more good music.
