Style to Admire: Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle has been in the limelight for a while now, with playing the role of Amy Jessup in Fringe and Rachel Zane in Suits. Like her character Rachel Zane–this lady has got some style!

With her newfound status as the significant other of Prince Harry, I’m sure we will be seeing more and more of her. Also, I always knew she had good acting chops and amazing style, but I recently found out about her humanitarian efforts in Africa (i.e. providing clean water, building new latrines for school aged children, and more).

Needless to say, I not only admire her style but also her work ethic and big heart. Definitely a woman that many could look up to.

$50 and Under for Her Gift Guide

I honestly cannot believe Christmas is this week!

I’ve yet to wrap my gifts and I need to figure out what I’m going to wear for Midnight Mass and for the big day. In actuality, I just have been putting off a-lot of Christmas related things as it had not felt like that time of the year down here until this past weekend (yay for cooler temps!).

Lovin’ Right Now: Fair Isle Sweaters

 

I love fair isle sweaters because they are THE perfect sweater for the holiday season and will continue to remain a classic, unlike those sweaters with Rudolph and jingle bells on them. 😉

So for those who are heading to a more casual or cozy holiday party, I totally recommend pairing a fair isle sweater with either a simple mini skirt or some fun jeans. You’ll be cute AND comfy as you sip on some spiced cider. Win win, no?

What to Wear Now and Later: Holiday Style

This time of year you hear so many women talk about never knowing what to wear for this and that holiday party. Lots of times they have something they could wear in their closet, but of course, we all like to treat ourselves to something new that just makes us feel good.

As much as we all love the holiday season, it can honestly be a really be a stressful time, especially when you are shopping for others. Don’t worry y’all, no matter if they’re a a music lover, planner, bibliophile, beauty junkie, cat lover, or a wannabe chef, you’ll find something for everyone who is on your list.

And for those who are struggling to find that perfect gift, I have cultivated a few lists of some of my personal favorites (starting with this one) to help you out. I personally love to go with more quirky gifts, hence the cat coloring book for the cat lover in your life (seriously though…they probably have enough stuffed cats as it is) or a sassy mug for the bibliophile.
