Tonight on ABC, A Charlie Brown Christmas 50th Anniversary Special will air at 8 EST/7 CST. The movie itself will begin at 9 EST/8 CST.
Like many, this movie holds lots of memories for my family. Every year, my family and I would watch it as I snuggled up with my stuffed Snoopy. The holiday season somehow just seemed to begin with this movie. As like for whatever reason, it wasn’t really “Christmas time” that year if we didn’t watch it.
One thing’s for sure, my TV will be set on ABC tonight.
I’ve never really been the biggest fan of Black Friday, as I’ve honestly only ever shopped on Black Friday twice and one of those times was accidental.
I love how some stores, such as REI, are closing their stores today so that their customers and employees can be with family and friends instead. I’m also loving REI’s Opt Outside initiative for today and how some states are even following it. For instance, if you’re in Oregon today the State Parks fees are waived so you can go hiking, walking, and biking without having to pay. How awesome is that?!
P.S. Here’s a list of other states that are waiving State Park fees.

The windowpane style of this coat is definitely unique and can easily be paired with other patterns as well. I’d love to see how Tartan plaid or stripes would look paired with this coat.
I also love the elongated lapels of this coat. They really lengthen the torso and don’t make that area seems so bulky like other coats do.
(Coat available at Anthropologie for $248)
As I’ve said before–is there anything Lady Gaga can’t do?!
Barnes & Noble recently released their holiday commercial November 13th, which stars Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett singing a rendition of Frank Loesser’s “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.
The video and song easily puts you into the holiday spirit, as well as lusting after Gaga’s black and green outfit.
Here’s to a wonderful holiday season.

Agora, a two story Greek cafe nestled in the Montrose area off of Westheimer, is definitely a place to check out if you’re in Houston. The art on it’s exterior walls is lovely and the drinks inside are even better.
Since giving up coffee a while ago, I’ve become a fan of Chai Lattes and the ones here are some of the best. Also, for those wanting something a little harder than tea or coffee they have a selection of beer and wine as well.
For me, whenever it gets colder outside the more I get in the mood to play with not just my outfits but also my makeup. Above are four of my current beauty favorites for this wintry season.
- Sure sure, red nails and the cold go together like Holly Golightly and Cat. I get it. However, this grey toned nail polish (Chinchilly by Essie) definitely adds an interesting touch. Think of grey nails during winter like white nails during summer.
- I love It Cosmetics brushes–especially their eye brushes. So you’d think their eyeshadow would be amazing as well, right? This eye trio does not disappoint (Naturally Pretty Pearl Luxe trio), as the shades are warm and also perfectly compliment my hazel eyes (colors would work wonderfully for those with green eyes as well!).
- As seen through previous posts, I love lipstick. It’s by far one of my favorite ways to perk up a look and with just one swipe your whole mood can be turned around. Though, with as much as I’ve invested in lipstick wise, I had yet to get a lip liner. What I love most about this one by Clinique (Lipblush) is that the shade is close to my natural lip color so I can use it with just about all of my shades of lipstick.
- Speaking of lipstick–I’m loving this new Smashbox one (Pout) I picked up at Sephora the other day. The light pink color is definitely a tamer version of my NARS hot pink lipstick and can even be worn to work. I also love how it looks when paired with a more neutral face and outfit–giving your look just the right amount of oomph.
What are some of your winter beauty faves?
I usually am not one for reality TV unless I’m sick in bed or needing to put something on for background noise as I work on my computer. However, there’s always been one show that I do try to keep up with and that’s Dancing with the Stars.
This season my favorite couple by far is Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough. They always seems so in-sync and both have wonderful personalities. Their latest dance for the Halloween episode was an Argentine Tango and they nailed it. I honestly thought I was watching two professional dancers dance, not just one.
*fingers crossed they win the mirror ball trophy*
