I’ve always loved the outfits that the stylists at Anthropologie seem to put together that I see on their website. Their outfits for “Signs of Summer” can really fit into any occasion and just about any day of the week. I especially love the first, fifth, and sixth outfits as I could see myself wearing them here in Oregon or back in Texas or California visiting family.

Definitely head on over to Anthropologie’s website to check out the outfits here. Even if they are a bit pricey, they are definitely great to look at for outfit inspiration!

Have a great day y’all!

Happy Memorial Day from Tommy Wiseau

Normally on Mondays I post music videos, but I felt it was more appropriate to post something related to Memorial Day. Now I know not many of you may have not seen “The Room”, a cult classic movie directed and starring Tommy Wiseau. However, thanksĀ to Urban Outfitters, Tommy Wiseau gives us his own version of Memorial Day wishes.

Y’all have a great Memorial Day!

Navy Blues

Inspired by this song by Washington and the more moodier weather we’ve been experiencing here in Oregon, I decided to pull out an all blue outfit. Luckily, though, it had stopped raining for the good majority this past Sunday in order to catch a baseball game and take some photos in one of my favorite areas in Eugene. The arts section of the university, where the studios are, are mainly situated closest to the river and on the way to the football stadium and baseball park. I have always loved the art on the side of the buildings, the bright colors and the larger than life fruit.

Oh, y’all also can now see the pixie! I’ve tried quite a few short hairstyles ever since cutting off a good majority of my hair a few years ago and to this day the pixie is still my favorite. And I know I was inspiring to attempt to grow it out a bit longer…but I just couldn’t, not only did I not have the patience but it also was starting to not feel like me.

Happy Friday!

P.S. I had to put in the last picture, just to add a little sass šŸ˜‰

May Flowers

It’s already getting to be towards the end of May and I JUST now saw this. Mind you, it’s not along my usual route to my apartment; however,it is just like a block or two away from where I live so I did feel ridiculous with just finding it last week. I just wanted to share the picture I took because it honestly really just shows some people’s creativity. Knitting “April Showers Knit Flowers” on a chain-link fence surrounding an abandoned lot is just so unexpected but in a sort-of cute way.

Have a great day!

Sunday Best

Since having stumbled upon her music a year or so ago via a Nylon magazine article, I have come to fall in love with Megan Washington’s quirkiness and her upbeat pop tunes. “Sunday Best” is by far my favorite song of hers, and the lyrics “everybody’s got somebody that they’re looking for” I believe rings true for just about anybody. It is also evident in this particular music video her love for Audrey Hepburn and her love for older movies. Right when I read that, I just knew I had to give this Australian-based jazz trained musician and her band a listen.

Y’all have a great start to the week!

Adorable Book Nook Spaces

I don’t know why, but recently I’ve been seeing so many pictures of book nooks all over the place. All these pictures make me want to do is make a nice cup of tea, cozy up in a blanket, and get to reading Wicked (i’m so pain stakingly close to finishing!). The weather right now too would also be perfect, as nothing would be as cozy as reading a book while it rains outside. One day, I wish to have some sort of area like those pictured above to enjoy a good book and just relax.

What are some of your home must haves?

I hope y’all have a wonderful and cozy weekend.

Now that I’m back to my old self again, aka my hair is again a pixie, I’ve been browsing the interwebs on cute clothing styles to complement le hair. Seeing as how my hair cut is similar to that of Jean Seberg and Ginnifer Goodwin, I’ve really been eyeing their personal style. What I love most about Seberg is honestly her iconic striped boatneck shirts, and I also love how Goodwin pulls them off too. I will definitely be on the look out for one…. However, that doesn’t mean that not all of these lovely ladies and their style inspire me. šŸ˜‰

Who are your current style inspirations?

Tavi Gevinson

Recently on the interwebs, I stumbled upon a wonderfulĀ video of a Ted Talk Tavi Gevinson gave. For such a young woman, (when she gave the Ted Talk she was 15–now she’s 16) she is years beyond her actual age in wisdom. While watching her Talk, I was fascinated by the concepts and ideas she brought up–like the objectification of women and modern feminism. Lately these topics have dominated conversation, newspaper blogs, and also Zooey Deschanel’s Hello Giggles.Ā It was so refreshing watching her discuss these topics and giving her input. I love knowing there are many more young women out there like her who are aware of what all occurs around them and have wonderfully valid opinions about such topics.

Here’s a link to the video:Ā http://www.ted.com/talks/tavi_gevinson_a_teen_just_trying_to_figure_it_out.html

Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend and here’s to the new week!Ā

I’m so happy that the weather is finally getting warmer here in Oregon! The fact that I can wear these polka dot shorts now makes me giddy. I love the flowiness the pleats give as most high waisted shorts tend to get a bit too tight in the thigh area.

Also, I’d love to do more outfit posts. Shooting for it with my friend in front of the new science complex on campus was definitely a-lot of fun. Plus, I do like the way the photos turned out šŸ˜‰

Y’all have a wonderful Friday–I’m off to see the Dali Lama speak!
