For a good majority, the beginning of classes will be starting very soon. Many a days I see young women dressed in their pajamas coming to class. Honestly, in my opinion, this is only acceptable during Finals Week and at that only really if you’re taking a good seventeen or more hours. So I have taken it upon myself to suggest (key word right there y’all) some key pieces that I truly believe every female college student should have in their arsenal.
For Class:
A sweater like this can be worn over a chambray shirt and with either colored jeans or a cute skirt.
High waisted jeans are universally flattering (and this is coming from a curvy girl who is barely over five feet tall) and can literally be worn with just about any top in your closet.
Scarves are great for any type of weather that may come your way and can take the ol’ t-shirt n’ jeans combination into a much cuter look.
For Going Out:
Black is definitely a go-to color as far as dresses go. Also, to stand out choose a dress with details such as peplum (like the one above) or one that is one-shoulder.
As far as accessories, I honestly believe it’s best to stick with simple ones so your personality takes the spotlight and not them.
An Absolute Must-Have:
Red lipstick (or gloss if that’s what you prefer) is not dowdy like so many have viewed it in the past. Take cues from Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe or Anne Hathaway when it comes to what to pair such a bold color choice with.
I hope y’all have a great rest of the week! (:
