The Victoria Beckham for Target collection aims to please and it will surely accomplish do just that when it becomes available on April 9th. I mean, not only are the majority of pieces from the collection under $50 but it also offers fashionable pieces for those who are plus size (which is a rarity all on its own).
I personally am already coveting the collared black dress (it has rabbits on the collar–how cute!), the gingham peplum top, and the oversized daisy print peplum top.
What are some of y’all’s favorites?

Multnomah Falls, located twenty to thirty minutes East of Portland, is definitely something worth seeing if you’re ever in the Portland area. Not only is it a great place for a photo-op but also just a cool place to start your exploration of the Columbia River Gorge.
When I went a few weeks ago, there was still some snow on the ground from the previous snowstorm and it just made it look even more majestic. Unfortunately, though, the snow and ice made it to where we couldn’t really explore on foot as much as I wanted to.
Happy Friday y’all!
Since having laid eyes on those gorgeous dress while on vacation in Portland, I have been dreaming of it being in my closet close to every night. Okay, not every night, but I have dreamed of it!
I love the mustard color of it, the A-line silhouette, and the vibrant stitching on the sleeves and hem.
Here’s to spring weather, so I can wear my warmer weather dresses again!
My second (and last) day in Seattle began with a morning spent in the Pioneer Square/International District area and followed by an afternoon at the Seattle Center.
The Seattle Center is seventy-four acres and was originally built for the 1962 World Fair. It currently is comprised of the Museum of Pop Culture, the Memorial Stadium, Chihuly Glass and Gardens, the Space Needle, and the Key Arena. I spent the majority of my time at the Museum of Pop Culture to check out the Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, and Star Trek exhibits (amongst many others) and then made my way over to the Space Needle as the sun was setting.
To anyone who is visiting Seattle in the near future, I highly recommend that you check out this area as there is honestly just so much to do.
To say that my trip up to the Northwest was much needed is an understatement. I am honestly so glad I was able to be up there for close to a week and not only explore Seattle but Portland and Eugene, aka my old stomping grounds, as well.
My first stop was Seattle and almost immediately after arriving I headed to Pike Place Market to check out the area and get some good fish n chips. I knew that this was a place I just had to go to and am glad it was my first place to explore, with being able to see the fishermen throw the fish, scope out all the vendors, and glance at (not touch) the infamous Gum Wall.
I also loved how friendly everyone was! While eating my fish n chips, the server even had me try some fruit from the vendor across the way and it was SOO good!
Love love love the arm detailing on the sweater and the shorter length!! Not only does it look great for a shorter statured woman such as myself but I also love the punch of color.
Honestly, I see this being the perfect sweater for a chill night with friends while up in the NW.

I’m currently planning a trip back up to my second home–the Northwest–and “Name For You” is by far one of the highlights on the travel playlist that I am making for my trip.
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for The Shins, as they were my first ever concert. Their music is simply feel-good music, and I have truly never been in a bad mood while listening to them. This song echoes that feeling and is also just such a great song to have on while driving.
Needless to say, I honestly cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us and the March release of their new album “HEARTWORMS”.
Sweaters like these, with the coolest details, make me wish that mild temperatures were more common where I live.
Honestly, one week it’s in the 30s and the next it’s in the high 70s. If there ever were a state to be known for it’s ridiculous weather, it’d have to be Texas.

Rosemary Butter Cookies

Earlier this week I tried a recipe for some pork loin chops that I’ve had in the fridge for a couple of days that involved rosemary and was enthralled by the flavor it had. Now, I want anything and everything with rosemary. Truly.
And seeing as how I do have leftover rosemary, I am thinking that those rosemary butter cookies may just have to be baked this weekend so I can use my leftovers. Purely just so I can use those leftovers, of course. 😉
Happy Friday y’all!
I won’t lie to you–this song has been on repeat for a good while now. It is just such a beautiful, yet simple, piece of music that tends to have an old world feel to it, and I can’t get enough of it.
Though I’ve yet (keyword yet) to see La La Land, I can understand why this song and the movie itself have been nominated (and now received) so many awards.
